La Fuzz Noyau is a unique 4 stage transistor fuzz that combines features of the Tone Bender and the Shin-ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz with Antifōn Audio's own choice additions. Unlike many Tone Bender variants, La Fuzz Noyau cleans up nicely with the volume control on your guitar dialled back. "Noyau" refers to the root or heart of fuzz because, in our opinion, more than the Fuzz Face, the Tone Bender and FY-2 get us closer to the terrifying centre of that sound. If it doesn't make you a little scared to use it, is it truly worthy of the name "Fuzz"?

• GAIN

  Extended range gain control that interacts with the FREQ feature to amplify certain frequencies for different guitar rigs. Goes from warm and brassy distortion to a chaotic and ripping fuzz.

• TREBLE

  Passive Low Pass Filter that cuts off at ~400Hz. Dialled most of the way back CCW, this control yields a huge sounding scooped mids flavour. Dialled CW, the tone gets very bright. Adjust to taste according to your rig.

• FREQ

  Changes the centre frequency pole of the main active filter in the circuit. Capable of going darker or lighter than a regular Tone Bender.

• MIDS

  Introduces a High Pass Filter that cuts the bass drastically in the circuit. Many fuzz circuits have too much bass for playing with a live band. This control fixes that issue by allowing guitars to stand out in the mix.

• FEEDBACK

  Doubles the amount of feedback going from the third to the second gain stage. With more feedback, the overall gain structure is throttled back, resulting in a smoother, warmer, and darker guitar tone. With less feedback, the tone becomes more chaotic and cutting in texture, and brighter, louder and unstable in tone.
